Woman Bathing by Mary Cassatt

$90.00

From an original drypoint and aquatint print created by the American painter and printmaker Mary Cassatt, (1844-1926) who lived and painted many years in Paris, where she was a member of the Impressionist group. This work was part of a group of prints shown at Cassatt's first solo exhibition at the Galerie Durand - Ruel 1891. One of her fellow Impressionists, and good friend, Edgar Degas, was famously reported as saying " I do not admit that a woman can draw like that."

This print is exactingly created in our studio using the finest hot press art paper, then mounted on Baltic birch, and protected with a silky, permanent finish that is as durable as it is beautiful.  The sides are 1.5" deep and finished with hand-applied gleaming gold/bronze texture.  Available in two sizes: 9" x 12" and 18" x 24".
