The artist Jean Marchand (French 1883-1941) painted this lovely scene in the town of Vence, ca. 1920. The town is located in the Provence, Cote d'Azur region in Southeastern France between Nice and Antibes. Vence is famous for its spring water, which can be collected from numerous fountains in the town. A long roster of artists have painted in Vence, including Henri Matisse, Raul Duffy, and Marc Chagall.
Our trays begin with a local woodworker who crafts each piece to our custom specifications. We hand paint each tray with multiple coats of color, glaze and satin finish to complement the artwork, which is protected in a durable laminating process.
