Photographer Greg Ferguson takes us to places most of us can only imagine. The Boone Store was built in 1879 in Bodie, California. Now a ghost town maintained in a state of "arrested decay" as a California Sate Historic Site, in the late 1800's and early 1900's, a number of working mines were in operation there. In that era the store’s owner, Harvey Boone, a direct descendant of Daniel Boone, built and ran the store in this remote location. All items now in the store were left abandoned there, or in other stores in Bodie, when the last residents moved out in the early 1900's.
