This stunning print comes from a rare and original antique copperplate engraving from the legendary Diderot Encyclopédie, published in 1767. It depicts the marble mason’s floorplan for one of Paris’s iconic sites. After a painstaking process to ensure the capture of every nuance of the antique original, we print on only the finest hot press art paper.
We present this smashing print double matted in your choice of two distinctive wood frames: distressed silver, and charcoal/black with unique silvered border. Both are great contemporary complements to this centuries old art form.
This print comes from artwork in our family collections. My mother especially had a love for engravings, and we are pleased to share the incredible craftsmanship of centuries past with all of you.
