Painted ca. 1889 by Paul Gauguin, Le Jambon (The Ham) is a celebration of rich color and visual texture. Famous for his later Tahiti paintings, Gauguin is considered a Post Impressionist painter as his experimental use of color and Synthetist style was distinctly different than the Impressionists.
