Feather Duster, Multi 1922

$239.00

Austrian Dagobert Peche, (1887–1923), initially studied architecture, but he quickly became known for his ability to design and create decorative arts. In 1915, he became the artistic director of the Weiner Werkstätte in Vienna. With his forward-looking textile and wallpaper designs, as well as designs for furniture, jewelry, and other objects, he is considered a major style setting harbinger of the art deco period. Sadly, his career was cut short by illness, and he died in 1923 at the age of 36.

We were immediately drawn to his work. The genius of his designs is that they are as fresh and current for today’s home, as they were when he created them 100 years ago.

This playful piece is Feather Duster, Multi, a textile design from 1911. We present it in two contemporary frames that compliment the era: a distressed white wood, or a rich, burnished gold. The overall size framed is approx. 22.5" x 18.5" for distressed white wood, and approx. 21.25" x 17.25" for burnished gold.
