Painted en plein air by Atlanta artist Denise Jennings, this piece perfectly captures the iconic low country chapel built over the marsh on historic Pawleys Island in South Carolina. Denise's work exhibits a confident "calligraphy" which means the artist's voice is always present in her brushwork. It's something we look for in the artworks we select for Butternut Studio.
