In this painting of August 1888, oleander flowers fill a majolica jug that Van Gogh (Dutch 1853 - 1890) used for other still lifes made in Arles. Despite the fact these flowers are toxic to many species, for Van Gogh, oleanders were joyous, life-affirming flowers that bloomed "inexhaustibly" and were always "putting out strong new shoots."

This print is exactingly created in our studio using the finest hot press art paper, then mounted on Baltic birch, and protected with a silky, permanent finish that is as durable as it is beautiful.  The sides are 1.5" deep, and  finished  with hand-applied gleaming gold/bronze texture.  Available in two sizes: 9" x 12" and 18" x 24".
