Bodie Historical Site, Bodie California. Bodie is located east of the Sierra Nevada Range in eastern California at about 8,000 ft. elevation. It is the largest ghost town remaining in the United States despite the fact only about 10% of the original buildings still stand. The State of California maintains the town in a condition of “arrested decay”,
meaning they maintain many of the buildings, but allow others to collapse. Photographer Greg Ferguson takes us to places most of us can only imagine. "There is a melancholy feeling of abandonment permeating everything in the town, but I was particularly drawn to the hat, chair, and deer antler in this house."
