Barrel Maker 1779/Eng.: Cooper/ French: Tonnelier. this is a fine art print of an original 1779 French copperplate engraving from the Diderot Encyclopedia depicting the varied wares of an 18th century barrel maker. After a painstaking process to capture of every nuance of the antique original, we print on only the finest cold press art paper. We present this distinctive print under glass in a beautifully distressed silver frame with double matting for a contemporary complement to this centuries old art form.


This print is part of our Circa line, inspired by artwork from our family collections. My mother especially had a love for engravings, and we are pleased to share the incredible craftsmanship of centuries past with all of you. This piece measures approx.  18" H x 14" W, and weighs 3 lbs.
